While it's not diplomatic immunity, at least I get to stay on legally as a tourist. Which beats being deported and being barred from entering Australia for 3 years.

It has been a terrible rollercoaster, but perhaps, just perhaps, maybe things might turn out for the better.

Always room for hope I guess. Maybe.
