Is it just me, or is too many people making just a tad too much fuss about the Swine flu?
Sure it's dangerous. Sure it could develop into a pandemic. Sure people have died from it, and surely the WHO know what they're talking about. But already there are plans to stockpile and stay indoors.
It's macabrely interesting. Everyone seems to be panicking as if a zombie outbreak is about to happen. No doubt gas masks and bottled water will have a surge in demand.
Maybe I'm a little more apathetic because I've watched too many michaelmoore documentaries about how the media loves to spread panic and hysteria. Or maybe I just think we need to bug out just a little. Be safe, yes, but try not to run screaming into the night without fully understanding the situation at hand first.
And it appears pig farmers are the worst hit. Because despite its name, the flu isn't spread by eating pork after all. So looks like they're copping it real bad again thanks to a bad naming decision.
Swine flu or no swine flu, nothing's gonna stop me from eating crispy skin pork, baby.
