turn.

There are some things you don't consider until you're put on the spot.

Like the fact that working retail for a stable pay has become more than a viable option, but a move of necessity. Like the fact that at twenty three, you're neither living the dream nor getting ready to be married - you're just looking to pay the next rent and hoping something good comes along. Like the fact that from here on, every decision could count towards your later years.

Like the fact that no one hands out manuals on these things...

But you take what you can get, and thank God because sometimes you're blessed with friends who nudge you along the way, and provide troubleshooting tips in sticky peculiar situations. Like not knowing whether to call back when you have no idea which company just asked you for an interview.

It's not a bed of roses, but we cope, don't we? Because the hundred foot drop or grafting crimson scars doesn't make your problems go away. It just means you've shifted your crap for someone else to handle.

Hang in there. Three words that induce different metaphors to different situations.

But we cope, don't we?
