The Simpsons is great simply because it appeals to different kinds of humour. Slapstick, farce, Non-PC or whatever else, it's not just a simple shallow-level comedy, but you've got to know enough references to enjoy all it has to offer.
That said, I'm certainly not trying to sell the series, although the movie was entertaining and didn't let me down. It's just nice to be able to sit back and laugh at the very things that make life tragic. And Chalkboard Manifesto is one of those one-liner comics that says so much in little doodles.
I wonder if life is really about how you look at the glass. Half-full, half-empty, it almost seems impossible to grasp the concept that how happy you are is determined by your perception. Does it mean then that optimists have it easy?
Thoughts seem to become more philosophical at 12.30am at night. Even deciding whether to cook instant noodles seem like a life-changing decision.
